Quote of the Day & Question of the Week (and of course a hot pic must be thrown in here too)

Perez Hilton is reporting that Ian Somerhalder was caught talking about what his character Vampire Diaries character, Damon would be like in a musical version of the show:

"Damon would be more like the barber of Fleet Street [a la "Sweeney Todd"]. He would be the guy who sings as he cuts people's arms off…Full, Johnny Depp style."

My question is this-- What would a Vampire Diaries musical look like to you? Any ideas?

  1. I have yet to see Sweeney Todd, so I guess I'm not sure... maybe more RENT-ish? Kind of dismal and dingy with a lot of romance and heartache?

Of course, if this were really my dream musical, Zefron would be a new vampire added to the cast...

  2. I always compare any show that is thinking of doing/or does a musical episode to Buffy's. If Vamp Diaries was going to go an episode in musical form they could actually go the buffy route and have the musical caused not by a demon (as in BTVS) but as a spell cast by a witch--- That would be plausable to the show-- I think it would be fun to see Damon sing about his woes, and maybe a Duet with Kathryn & Elena-- and of course Stefan would need to do a song while out hunting singing to the poor animals that he had to hurt in order to survive!!!

  3. Yeah, I could see it being like sweeney Todd, but only more beautiful as they made everyone in that look hideous. They are both overly dramatic, bloody, and cheesy in a totally great way!!! I would love it.

  4. If Stefan or Damon sang "Walk Through the Fire" I would die. die.

  5. It would have to be something dark. I don't think I could handle a cheesy upbeat number sang by Stefan or Damon :-\

  6. I think Sweeney Todd is the perfect reference. It's upbeat but yet dark as Ginger said. I'm not sure I could see any of them singing though without laughing at it.

Great picture of the week! Oh La La!
