A little snippet:Team Jacob Police Headquarters
CHARLIE: Have I mentioned lately that I hate you? Because I do. A lot.
EDWARD: Why? I’m smart, clean-cut, handsome, rich--a good student from a good family who won’t even go past first base with your daughter. I’ve even begged her to go to college and not throw her life away on me. It’s not my fault you raised Bella to define herself through abject codependency on a man.
CHARLIE: OH NO YOU DID NOT
BELLA: So... we'll be taking that trip to see Mom now!

My review on Eclipse (the movie)
As most of you know, I have my own blog & just posted an entry about Eclipse. Kari read it & thought I should share it here with SVC :-) So here it is...
(and if you ever want to follow my blog it's: http://ginger-everymileamemory.blogspot.com/)
Last night I went to see Eclipse, for my birthday. I waited 3 weeks to see it (well technically a lot longer than that -- but 3 weeks since it was released)!! This one is the best of the 3, so far. I had read a TON of reviews on the movie.. from both Twilight fans & just random movie-goers. It was rare that I read anything negative about this one. So I went in to it thinking good thoughts already. I felt like all the actors really became their characters in this movie. I thought to myself, FINALLY! They get it right! The chemistry between Edward & Bella was so there, right away in the opening scene. I found myself relating back to when I read Eclipse for the first time and how much I was sucked in to their romance & wanted to be a part of it. I never got that feeling while watching Twilight or New Moon. Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart just never seemed to connect as Bella and Edward, but in this movie they finally did!
I was worried that the story line would be mostly about the newborn vampires & them coming to destroy Forks (Bella & the Cullens included). All the previews leading up to the movie release kept showing the action scenes between the vampires.. but my memory of Eclipse, the book, was mostly about Bella choosing between Edward & Jacob. Even though it wasn't really a choice, we always knew which one she was supposed to be with. I'm happy that the movie creators kept in line with that story, and made it just as much of the movie as the action sequences with the newborn vampires.
I hated the Cullens in Twilight and New Moon. I laughed at the actors ridiculous portrayal of each character. I never took their scenes seriously, and it seemed to ruin parts of those movies for me. However, in Eclipse I felt like they finally grew in to their characters. Jasper (despite his awful hair!) and Rosalie did an awesome job telling their stories. For someone who had never read the books, I thought they did an excellent job explaining the details of what lead them to be a part of the Cullen family.
There were quite a few one liners through out the movie that made me laugh! Charlie, Bella's dad, has been a favorite of mine since Twilight. His dry sense of humor, and his distaste for Edward is hilarious! The bluntness made me laugh. Charlie and Bella have never been able to share their feelings through words, it's usually been a silent understanding of one another. But there were a few scenes when Charlie tried to get his words across & in return just made Bella uncomfortable & embarrassed!
Even though I am Team Edward, Jacob stole every scene he was in! I loved seeing the tension between him & Edward. It felt very real & he portrays the best Jacob for me! A lot of people love Jacob (or Taylor Lautner I should say) for his abs.. but I just can't get past the fact that he is just a kid underneath all that hottness! HA! Some of my favorite lines came from Jacob... at the graduation party when Jacob, the Cullens, and Bella were in the other room discussing the newborn vampires, and Jacob not having a clue what was happening he says, "Wait. What damn army?!" Just something about his directness & bitterness in his words made me giggle. Another scene (and one of my favorites!) when Bella, Edward, and Jacob are on the mountain, inside the tent, hiding from Victoria.. Bella is shivering to death so Jacob offers his body heat to keep her warm (obviously Edward is not a fan of this) and Jacob says to Edward, "Well I am hotter than you!"..Love it!
If you're a Twilight fan, I'm sure you've seen the movie by now! If you aren't.. and have a slight interest, then I recommend it. I'm already wanting to see it again! Just because I feel like there were small details I missed. I'm glad they finally got it right. But I have a feeling they'll bomb with the next one, Breaking Dawn. I was not a fan of that book to begin with, so I am not so sure how they'll do with the movie. But as much attention as this franchise has gotten, I'm sure they could do anything with it and people will still pile in to the theaters to watch it!

City of Fallen Angels Excerpt
Lookie here... Cassandra Clare has given us another peek in to City Of Fallen Angels, and this one is HOTT!
Clary made a surprised noise, but didn’t protest, even when Jace lifted her up and carried her over to the bed. They sprawled onto it together, crushing some of the letters, Jace knocking the box itself aside to make room for them. His heart was hammering against the inside of his ribs. They had never been in bed together like this before, not really — there had been that night in her room in Idris, but they had barely touched. Jocelyn was careful never to let either of them spend the night where the other one lived. She didn’t care much for him, Jace suspected, and he could hardly blame her. He doubted he would have liked himself much, in her position.
“I love you,” Clary whispered. She had his shirt off, and her fingertips were tracing the scars on his back, and the star-shaped scar on his shoulder than was the twin of her own, a relic of the angel whose blood they both shared. “I don’t ever want to lose you.”
He slid his hand down her cheek, to her throat, to the top button of her blouse.

When Jill Met Demetri!
Jill went to the movie last week and was lucky enough to go to one of the theaters that had an Eclipse actor make a surprise visit. Read her account below:
On the way to the movie my neighbor and fellow Twilight lover Bonnie told us that she heard one of the Twilight cast members would be coming to one of the theaters in the Twin Cities. We all speculated which theater. My guess was Mall of America, but maybe there was a chance that it could be ours due to the Showplace in St. Louis Park being brand new.
As I settled into our upper deck VIP seats with my blood red Twilight martini (super strong!) a woman came out to announce the exits and then said they had a special guest. The audience began to cheer and out came this adorable blond messy haired guy in a white t-shirt and jeans. He introduced himself as Charlie Bewley who plays Demetri. He started out by teasing the audience saying that he had an inside scoop for us that the Breaking Dawn movie would have a completely different ending then the book. There were some cheers and some boo's. He laughed and said he was kidding. Then asked if we had any questions for him. Someone asked where he was from- England. Another asked when they start Breaking Dawn? He said they start shooting in Louisiana soon and he was excited to get to fight with Aro. One girl asked if he'd sit on her lap during the movie and he said Sure why not! Then he said we're probably excited to see the movie so he better go and jogged off the stage with a large body guard.
Only disappointment was that the lights were already dimmed and it was difficult to see his hotness!

I'm really tempted...!
I just got this link to this article from my friend Debbie, I hav nothing going on tonite, so I am seriously considering seeing if I can get a ticket...
To gin up box office for "Twilight: Eclipse" even more, the movie is sending actors on the road this weekend. No word on who's going to visit the Twin Cities -- I wouldn't count on it being Kristen Stewart or Robert Pattinson or Taylor Lautner -- but it sounds like a moviegoer who's dying to meet someone, anyone from "Eclipse" might want to head to the Showplace ICON in St. Louis somewhere around the time of the 7 p.m. showing on July 2.Source
