From EW.com:
"I’m delighted to announce, exclusively, that Yen Press will publish Twilight: The Graphic Novel, Vol. 1 on March 16, with a first printing of 350,000 copies. Here’s a first glimpse at the book’s cover, as well as an exclusive peek at one of its panels (for a full ten-page excerpt, and the entire Q&A with Stephenie Meyer, see the issue of EW that goes on sale this Friday)."

After reading about this, it got me thinking... how many variations of Twilight can there be? Do you think people are capitalizing on the Twilight phenomenon too much? Twilight seems to be everywhere you look these days.. from books, to clothes, to movies, to music. I fell in love with Twilight the first time I read it, but it's starting to leave a sour taste in my mouth. What do you think is too much?

6 enjoyed the bouquet.:
I totally agree. I'm happy that SM was able to cash in on a lot of this and I love that people enjoy the books but part of me hates that I have to share something that means so much to me with the entire world.
The other day I saw a Twilight necklace on sale at Borders. It made me so sad to see it so commercialized. Like where is the love that went into this necklace? The fans make these things because we care. The machines make them to make money.
I HAVE TO READ THIS.
This is the second big book-turn(ed/ing)-movie the Summit has the rights to that Yen Press has done. They also did the Maximum Ride books.
And Kaitlyn - if this works as well as the Maximum Ride books did, you're in for a huge dissapointment. They did a good job at drawing the characters, but they cut everything out.
I'm with Kari on this one! I think it's a little to far gone! I've never been a big fan of
"graphic novels" or COMIC BOOKS! (get over yourselves comic book artists/writers). I truly think they will ruin the story that we all love so much.
I still have to read it...if only for critiques!
Yup, this just got a little out of hand ... And the Bella on the cover looks the tiniest bit stoned to me.
