When asked about how the computer generated wolves are going to look Chris Weitz was quoted as saying "Though they will be computer generated creatures the size of horses, the eyes will be digitally pasted on from the actors’ actual eyes, in order to make them as realistic as possible." (SOURCE)

Question of the Day

This past weekend Ryah, Corinne, and I went and saw 17again, what I consider, the movie of the year...well, at least until New Moon comes out. I've been fully aware of my lust for Zac Efron for a while, but both Ryah and Corinne had their awakenings to the power of Zefron. So my question stems from the amazing time we had starring at Zefron for two hours.

Once you are turned by Edward (or your choice of vamp) who would then be YOUR first person to turn? Excludes current boyfriends / husbands.

As you can probably tell, mine would be Zac! I shouted this out in the parking lot as we were leaving the movie- i call dibs!

Update: I thought this post needed a Zefron pic with him showing us his vampire strength and all- in my head that is Edward in the background giving us his approval of choices ;)

Question of the Day

I was thinking about reading Twilight ...again. I've forgotten little things and I kinda miss it. This will mark the fifth time I've read the series (not including the countless times I've read just my favorite parts). It got me wondering -- is it normal to read a book so many times? How many times have you re-vamped the series? Is there another series that you've read more than once?

EOnline - Move over, Twyla Babe-Sucker, you’ve got company on the New Moon set: Her name’s Julie Bone-Jumper. But first, gotta say: It’s almost as if Twilight creator Stephenie Meyer made sure the contract stated that her angst-ridden teeny vampire love story be cast only with equally pale, angst-ridden love-torn young actors. Such is the case with Twyla Babe-Sucker, star of our last Twilight Vice installment. And it’s certainly the case, as well, for Ms. JBJ. And Julie, like Twyla, has another love… Though, we must admit, Julie’s man isn’t nearly as jealous as Twyla’s cranky, twitching freakazoid of a BF. Still, he’s not exactly thrilled that Julie’s been all-too-obviously jonesing for one of her humpy Twilight costars, who isn’t exactly hiding his feelings for Julie, either.

Now, can we be honest here? As perfecto as Ms. Babe-Sucker’s tastes may be, it simply must be stated—plain and stud-simple—that I do think Julie’s going gonzo for the hunkier dude. I can def see why she’s considering dumping the full-time BF for a sweet little fling with the muscled costar in question. Who wouldn’t? Just wonder if it would last (so, too, no doubt, would certain Twilight powers that be). I mean, Nikki Reed probably would have launched on this dude at the first table reading! Wonder if she did…

Happy Vampiversary SVC

A year ago today we started this web site. Some of us knew each other, some of us had never met, but all of us loved Twilight. We had no plan -- we just wanted a space to talk about the books and be goofy.


Who would have guessed shinyvampireclub.com would receive an average of 500 hits per day?


Who would have guessed our promised monthly meetings would turn into weekly meetings, phone calls, presents to each other, and countless inside jokes?


Who would have thought we'd be throwing a Vampire-themed baby shower? Making Future Shiny Vampire Club Members onesies?


Ok, Alice probably could have predicted this. Me? No way. I'm so thankful and happy to have made such wonderful friends over a silly (and glorious) vampire series.

Are you jealous?

So I have always had very vivid dreams, but it seems now that I am pregnant I have a rotating cast of celebrity boyfriends making appearances. For example, last week I was dating Dave Matthews. he was so nice... Annyway... Last night I definitely was all over Rob Pattinson. Although he was Edward, not Rob, but looked just like Rob (obvs.) and I am not sure if I were me, or I were Bella (who would stop to ask questions at such a time as this??) but we defintely made out a lot and I was a little scared of him.

It was bizarre. Especially since I am not such an Edward/Rob fan, although I am starting to see the appeal...

Ps. His lip stain was just as pretty in "real life." As was his hair.

Thats all. Sorry for this fluff post. Just wanted to share.

Yay! The Return of Mike Newton

I have to say that I was excited to see THESE new photos from the set of New Moon. I love any chance to see what's going on with Edward, but the moment I spied the Mike Newton, I was grinning like a silly girl. I absolutely LOVE this guy, my fave scenes in Twilight are when Mike says to Bellla "You're ALIVE!!" and at the prom when he does the most amazing two handed thumbs up (pure brills).

Alright, here's the deal. I am going to Forks! My family is taking a vacation to Seattle and Vancouver in 43 days and I have convinced them to go sightseeing in the Olympic Peninsula and have even gotten them on board with spending a night in FORKS!!! So my question is this: What do you want me to take a picture of for you while I'm there?

Some DVDs in England will come with a special extra: a bite out of the DVD from Edward himself. Kinda. They took a plaster of Rob's mouth and made a steel copy of his teeth to bite the DVDs. Yumtastic.
