One of my eighth grade students is as obsessed as newbies come. She's been BITTEN. She read my copy of Twilight on the first day of school, and proceeded to read one per day after that until she finished. Her parents made her stop drawing an Edward tattoo on her arm, so she now wears an Edward armband she made EVERY DAY to school and proceeds to talk about him throughout every class period - any way she can. (i.e.: journal entries: the question today was "If a genie could grant you one wish, what would it be?" Her answer: "I'd make Edward real." This is typical of everyday responses from her. The class makes fun of her, she just swoons.) She leans against the READ poster of Rob Pattinson and Kristin Stewart on my door on her way into class every day and sighs.
Anyway, it's refreshing to be around someone so newly in love. I love her armband. I should really try to get a picture of it and post it here...but I don't know if I'd be violating some weird student rule (I would just get her arm, not her face...) or if she'd totally freak out if she found this site. Hmm...
Just thought I'd share! Movie comes out two months from YESTERDAY!!! YAY!

5 enjoyed the bouquet.:
thats so cute!
I am curious about what her armband entails...
That's so adorable! She's how I envision my own daughter to be.
She is incredibly adorable, angsting away in her desk every day. Her armband is pretty basic - a white piece of cloth decorated with sharpie hearts and EDWARD in big letters. Before I realized it was an Edward armband, I asked her if she was protesting something, and she said she was protesting her parents not letting her tattoo her love for Edward on her arm. So dramatic...she makes me laugh.
oh, thats so awesome. and cute.
I remember teachers forcing me to stop shapie-ing my hair and nails black in 8th...
I love that!
