I have started to revamp Eclipse so that I am ready for Breaking Dawn. As I was reading the first chapter last night my mind started to wander when I got to the Wuthering Heights convo between Ed and Bella...
We all know that SM has also pulled from Romeo and Juliet and she has said that BD is loosely based on Mid Summer and another book/story. For this weekend edition of the qod, I want us to be creative and guess a book/story each that we think SM could use as her 2nd muse for BD. It will be interesting to see if anyone guess correctly!
Just take a guess! more shakepere, maybe an Austen novel? or something more contemporary?? lets see what we can come up with.

14 enjoyed the bouquet.:
This is a hard one! Making me think on a weekend should be outlawed ;)
Bridget Jones's Diary.
yeah, but we have all weekend! just guess! (ha! bridget jones, that was kinda eclipse!)
The Host.
LOL Ryah! I was going to say "Blue Bloods"
HP and The Goblet of Fire?
Cedric doesn't die, he just gets knocked out, loses his memory, and thinks he's this Edward character, who also happens to be a vampire?
HAHA! I like Ryah's! God I have no idea! ( I had a hard time seeing the comparison for NM and R&J!! I'm gonna guess another classic though Since I don't know very many of her books I'm gonna say Mansfield Park!
(I honestly know nothing about that book...just know it's by J.A.)
I was gonna say Mansfield Park too! I've seen the movie- I was thinking about it cause its about a mystery and a jumble of mixed up characters. (boring movie by way, even with ryan philipe eye candy)
I would love to answer this question, the problem is that I don't read. I can't give you one valid suggestion. I hope you literate people have a better idea or guess.
A Christmas Carol, by Dickinson. It just popped into my head. Maybe Bella will be visited by three ghosts. Ghost of future human Bella, Ghost of future vampire Bella-
or It's a Wonderful Life... Where Bella is taken around to see Charlie, Renee, and Jacobs lives without her!
Ooh, Jes, that is INTERESTING!
One I hope for: Outlander. :-) Bella joins Edward's world (as Claire joined Jamie's), crazy vampire lovin' ensues. WOOOOO! But none of the people-trying-to-kill-them stuff.
One I wouldn't mind: Odyssey. Edward gets called away for some heroic mission (taking down the Volturi) while Bella remains at home, pursued by various suitors until Edward comes back and reclaims his place at the end. And kicks total ass.
One I don't hope for: Othello. I really hope Edward doesn't end up killing Bella at the end of all of this.
Ooh, all my choices were Os!
I know you only mentioned it for a second but has anyone read Wurthering Heights? It is sooo awesome, I couldn't help myself and had someone buy it off ebay for me and now when I'm done with it I'm gonna led it to all my twilighter alliesXD
I'm gonna go with the host, man Ryah's funny!
Oh, no, wait, I change my mind!
The Vampire Diaries by L.J Smith!
Yes, that's my answer, it's about a really pretty girl torn between two vampire brothers. The younger brother Stefen is like Edward (but older in vampire years) in that he would hurt her but is VERY tempted by her blood. The second brother is like Jacob in that he's very rash and will take Elena by force if he has to...
D:< Lucky girls
