What's the deal with Jacob's mom? She's not mentioned much. Do you think we'll find out more (or anything!) about her?

I guess I had just assumed that she had died when he was little! (but you know what they say about the word Assume!)

I guess I thought that too. I never gave his mom much thought.

Good question. I looked it up on the character bios on the Lex, and all it says for Jacob is that his mother, Sarah, died many years ago. For Billy it just says that his wife, Sarah is deceased. No extra info given on that one...
I do remember reading Billy has diabetes, which is why he's in a wheelchair. It doesn't say, though, if Sarah had any diseases, and it doesn't appear that she died in childbirth with Jacob.
Hmmm...it'd be a strange twist if she ended up relating somehow to the Third Wife...though the wolves weren't around when she was.
I want a mom backstory!
A juicy one, where she ends up being Volturi or something. alas, this only happens in fanfic...

ha- what if it is Bella's mom, and that is why they skipped town. She had an affair with Billy and it is all really hush, hush- not even Charlie knows... So Bella and Jacob are really bro and sis and that is why she loves him like she does....hmmmmm.
AHHH NO! Then the Story would be taking a V.C. Andrews turn! AAAARRRGG! hehe!

Ya know I liked her for a time too!! It's just that after a time EVERY new story line ended up with someone falling in love with their sibling! I mean come on...can't we come up with something NEW?! I actually haven't read anything by her is quite awhile! Maybe they have gotten better!!
I never read V.C. Andrews. I read all of the Sweet Valley High books though. Does that count? ;)
Holy Crow! I read ALOT of SVH but not ALL of them! MOST IMPRESSIVE!!
Ooh, I read all the VC Andrews AND all the Sweet Valley High. And all the Babysitters Club, and the Mary Higgins Clark books, etc...
Yeah, I think VC Andrews really wrote Flowers in the Attic, and then all the books were written by ghostwriters after that who decided to be VC-like by writing incest into the story...somehow I was always enthralled, though!
And with Sweet Valley...I was SO an Elizabeth, but I really wanted to be a Jessica...
I was all about the SVH, BC, and VC.
Me too. I loved the Heaven books (and they were all ghost writers after My Sweet Audrina) She did write more than just the one. Babystitters club was great, but I really wanted to be in the Unicorn's Club ;)

I don't know if I care at all about Jacob's mom. I think if I should need to know about her I would have known more already.

I'm not pessimistic, just realistic. I just don't really think we need to know more about Jacob's mom. I'm answering the question in my honest opinion.
